How to make a Foundry server public or private

A public Foundry server can be listed through Steam. Turning the listing off removes it from the public browser, although anyone with the address can still try a direct connection.

1. Stop the server and open Configuration Files.
2. Open app.cfg with Text Editor.
3. Use server_is_public=true for a public listing or server_is_public=false to hide it.

   

4. Click Save & Exit and start the server.

Use a password as well when access should be restricted. Hiding the listing by itself is not an access control.
