How to set a password on a Foundry server

A server password limits connections to players who know it.

1. Stop the server and open Configuration Files.
2. Open app.cfg with Text Editor.
3. Enter the password after server_password=.

   

4. Click Save & Exit and start the server.

server_password=ExamplePassword

Share the password privately. To remove it later, stop the server, clear the value after the equals sign, save and start it again.
