How to change the autosave interval on a Foundry server

The autosave interval is measured in seconds. The package default of 300 saves every five minutes.

1. Stop the server and open app.cfg with the Text Editor.
2. Change the number after autosave_interval=.

   

3. Click Save & Exit and start the server.

For example, 600 saves every ten minutes. Very short intervals create more frequent disk activity; very long intervals increase the progress that could be lost after an unexpected stop. The setting was verified to persist after a restart.
