You can increase your game server's player slots from the client area, provided the game and package support a higher player count. Before ordering, it's worth checking whether you need more slots or more RAM, as they aren't always the same upgrade.
Slots set how many players can join. On games where RAM is a separate option, adding slots won't give a modded server more memory. Other packages increase their resources with the slot count, so have a look at the options on your service to see what the upgrade includes. The game's own maximum player count still applies.
Minecraft works a little differently. You can change its player limit in the control panel without buying extra slots, but the server still needs enough RAM for the world, mods and players you're running. If it's already struggling, raising the limit won't solve that; you may need a larger RAM package.
- Log in to the client area and open Products and Services.
- Select the server you want to upgrade, then click Upgrade/Downgrade Options.
- Under Slots, choose the player count you need from the available options.
- Check the price shown and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade.
If Slots isn't listed, send us a support ticket with the player count you want to use so we can check the options for your server.
