How to back up your Hurtworld server

Create a backup before changing autoexec.cfg, installing UMod or applying an update. Stop the server first so its world files are not changing during the copy.

  1. Open your Hurtworld service and stop the server.
  2. Click Backup Server.

  3. Confirm the action and wait for the task to finish before starting the server again.

Completed backups are stored as timestamped ZIP files in the service's backups directory. If the task reports an error, run it again or contact support before making the planned change.
