BattlEye can be disabled from the ARK server startup options when you need to troubleshoot anti-cheat issues or run a setup that requires it. Only disable it if you understand the security trade-off.
- Open your ARK server in the control panel.
- Click Commandline Manager.
- Edit your selected command line, or create a custom command line: Creating a custom command line on your ARK server.
- Tick the checkbox next to Disable BattlEye or enable the equivalent no-BattlEye startup option exposed by the command line.
- Save and select the command line, then restart the server.
Disabling BattlEye can make public servers easier to abuse. For public servers, leave BattlEye enabled unless you have a specific reason.
