7 Days to Die Map Guide - Navezgane

Navezgane is the hand-made map in 7 Days to Die. Unlike Random Gen, its towns stay in the same places, so learning where things are pays off the next time you play. It's also easier to give friends directions when you're all working from a familiar map.

Finding your way around

We recommend starting in the Forest, where you can get food, water and somewhere to spend the first night before heading into the harsher biomes. Mark a nearby trader and the roads you use to get there. A base near those roads saves a lot of travelling when you're going back and forth with supplies.

Diersville, Gravestown, Perishton, Departure, the Trailer Park and Old Western Town are useful landmarks as you explore. Once you know a few routes between them, you can plan trips around the places you need rather than spending most of the day looking for them. Weapons, armour and transport will help when you're ready to travel further into the Desert, Snow and Wasteland.

Where to look for supplies

Houses, garages and small shops are worth searching early on. Kitchens and bathrooms can give you supplies, while mailboxes and bookshelves help with crafting progress. When you need something more specific, the shop names give you an idea of what to look for:

  • Crack-A-Book: books and schematics.
  • Working Stiffs: tools and building supplies.
  • Pop-N-Pills: medical supplies.
  • Shamway: food.
  • Pass-N-Gas: vehicle and fuel supplies.
  • Shotgun Messiah: weapons and ammunition.

Mark useful shops as you find them so you can put together a route for your next supply run. Start with smaller buildings while you're still using basic equipment.

Choosing somewhere to build

A Forest spot near a road gives you access to traders and loot without a long trip every time you need something. Leave room to expand as you add crafting stations and storage. If you're playing with friends, keeping your crafting base separate from the Blood Moon base also keeps all those supplies away from the horde fight.

The fixed layout is the main reason to choose Navezgane: you can get to know it and return to places you remember. If finding your way around a new map is part of the fun for your group, Random Gen gives you a different layout instead. Back up an existing server before changing its map or world settings, as you may be loading a different save.

You can play either with friends on our 7 Days to Die servers.
