Restoring a Windrose backup replaces the current server files with the files from the selected backup. Take a fresh backup first if there is anything on the server you may want to keep: How to backup your Windrose server.
Restore A Backup
- Open your Windrose server in the control panel, then click Restore Backup on the left side menu.
- Select the backup you want to restore from the dropdown list.
- Tick Are you sure?, then click Execute.
- Wait for the restore to finish, then start the server again.
If the backup you need is not listed, submit a support ticket and we can check what backups are available.
Before restoring
Restoring a backup overwrites the current server files. If there is anything from the current state you may need later, create or download a fresh copy before starting the restore.
After restoring
Start the server and check the console for errors before inviting players back. If you restored because of a mod or configuration issue, confirm the server works before applying the same change again.
