How to make yourself admin on an ARK Survival Ascended server

ARK Survival Ascended admin access is controlled by the admin password you set in the server start batch file.

After joining the server, you use that password in the in-game console so the server accepts admin commands from your player.

Keep the admin password private. Anyone with the password can run powerful commands on the server.

1. Stop the ARK Survival Ascended server.
2. Right-click your start-asa.bat file, then click Edit.
3. Find the ?ServerAdminPassword= option.
4. Set a strong admin password, for example:

   ?ServerAdminPassword=ChangeThisAdminPassword

5. Save the batch file.
6. Start the server again.
7. Join the server in-game.
8. Open the in-game console.
9. Run enablecheats followed by your admin password:

   enablecheats ChangeThisAdminPassword

10. Test admin access with a safe command, such as:

    cheat saveworld

If the command is ignored, confirm you joined the correct server, typed the exact admin password, and fully restarted the server after editing the batch file.
