The ARK Survival Ascended map is set in the first part of your start batch file, before the ?listen option.
In our basic example, the server starts on The Island using TheIsland_WP.
Changing maps creates a different world path and may make the old save look missing until you switch back to the old map value.
- Stop the ARK Survival Ascended server.
- Back up the current save first.
- Right-click your
start-asa.batfile, then click Edit. - Find the map value at the start of the launch line.
- Replace it with the map value you want to run.
- Save the batch file.
- Start the server again.
Example using The Island:
ArkAscendedServer.exe TheIsland_WP?listen?SessionName=MyASAServer?Port=7777?QueryPort=27015 -WinLiveMaxPlayers=70 -server -log
Common official map values include:

Only use map values that are available for ARK Survival Ascended on your current server build.
If the server closes immediately after changing map, switch back to the previous value and check the server log for the exact error.
