How to update a Valheim Server to the latest version

To update your Valheim server to the latest version you need to do the following:

  1. On our control panel, go to the server you want to update
  2. Click on the backup button – better safe than sorry!
  3. Stop the server
    1. After stopping, on the actions tab click kill server. This might be necessary as sometimes Valheim keeps running after we've told it to stop
  4. Click on the Steam Update Button
  5. Once the console that appears completes it’s task, the server is updated
  6. Start the server, enjoy the update!
