Wiping a Conan Exiles server removes saved world data so the server can generate a fresh world. This can remove player progress, buildings, NPC changes, and other saved data, so take a backup first if there is anything you may need later.
Before wiping the server
- Tell players that the server will be offline while the wipe runs.
- Stop the server before deleting or replacing save files.
- Take a backup or download a copy of the current save files before continuing.
Use the control panel wipe option
- Open your Conan Exiles server in the control panel.
- Click Wipe Server.
- Read the wipe options carefully and select only the data you want to remove.
- Confirm the wipe only when you are sure you have a backup.
- Click Execute and wait for the task to finish.
- Start the server and check that a fresh world loads.
Manually wipe the world save
If you only need to remove the Conan Exiles world save, you can do it from File Manager instead.
- Stop the server.
- Open File Manager.
- Open the
/Saved/folder. - Delete or rename
game.db. - Delete
game.db-shmandgame.db-walif they are present. - Start the server again. Conan Exiles will create a new save database.
Clean server option
Some Conan Exiles services also show a Clean Server action. Use that only when you understand what it removes from your service. If you are not sure which wipe option to use, submit a support ticket before running it.
