You can add or change a Conan Exiles server password from the control panel configuration editor. The change takes effect after the server is saved and restarted.
Change the server password
- Open your Conan Exiles server in the control panel.
- Click Configuration Files.
- Open the Configuration Editor for
Engine.ini. - Find the private password field.
- Enter the password players should use when joining the server.
- Save the configuration.
- Restart the server so the new password is applied.
After changing the password
- Test joining the server with the new password.
- If players can still join without a password, confirm that the saved value is still present in the configuration editor and restart the server again.
- If the server does not appear in the server list, check the console or log viewer for startup errors.
Use a password you can share safely with your players. If the password field is missing from your service, submit a support ticket and include your server name.
