Installing Rust:IO on your Rust Server

Rust:IO is an older mapping/plugin ecosystem for Rust servers. On the LogicServers Rust panel, Rust:IO is installed from Mod Manager, not from the generic Rust Plugins page.

  1. Install uMod first: How to Install UMod on Your Rust Server.
  2. Open your Rust server in the control panel.
  3. Open Mod Manager from the left side menu.
  4. Expand Oxide / uMod Plugins.
  5. Find Rust:IO, then click Install.
  6. Restart the server.
  7. Check Web Console for Rust:IO load messages.

Rust:IO and RCON.IO are different. Rust:IO is a plugin; RCON.IO is a web-based RCON client for sending server commands. If Rust:IO does not load, confirm uMod is installed and check the Web Console for plugin errors.

Before you start

Make one change at a time and keep a note of what you changed. If the server is active, warn players before restarting or applying settings that may disconnect them.

If you get stuck

Check the control-panel console or latest log output for errors. If you submit a support ticket, include the server name, the change you made, and the exact error message.
