How to whitelist players and give admin access on a Vintage Story server

Vintage Story player access can be managed from the control-panel console. Use a player's exact Vintage Story username when adding them to the whitelist or giving them admin access.

  1. Open your Vintage Story server in the control panel and make sure it is running.
  2. Open the Console tab.
  3. Enter /player User whitelist on, replacing User with the player's username.
  4. If the player also needs administrator access, enter /op User.
  5. Ask the player to reconnect and check that they can join and use the access you intended.

Use /deop User to remove administrator access. If you are changing access before testing a mod or configuration, create a server backup first.
