Update your Citadel: Forged With Fire server through Steam Update whenever the game receives a server patch. Players also need the matching game version before they can reconnect.
- Open your Citadel server in the control panel.
- Take a backup, then stop the server.
- Click Steam Update.
- Wait for the update task to say it has completed before returning to the service page.
- Start the server, check Log Viewer for errors and reconnect with an updated game client.
If the server stops starting after an update, check whether any custom files or plugins are compatible with the new build before restoring a backup.
