Back up before changing save slots, creating a new world, installing ModAPI or applying a large settings change.
- Open The Forest service and stop the server.
- Click Backup Server.
- Confirm the action and wait for the task to finish before restarting.
The completed timestamped ZIP is available to the Restore Backup action. Check the task result before wiping a world or changing slots; a failed or incomplete archive is not a restore point.
