Run Steam Update when The Forest receives a dedicated-server patch or clients can no longer connect because their versions differ.
- Back up and stop the server.
- Click Steam Update.
- Wait for the update task to complete, then start the server.
- Update The Forest through Steam on your computer before reconnecting.
If you use ModAPI, check its compatibility after a game update and update it from Mod Manager where available. Disable recently added mods before assuming the base server update failed.
