Wiping a 7 Days to Die world removes the generated save data so the server can start again with a fresh world. This is destructive, so take a backup first if there is anything you may need later.
Before you wipe
Decide whether you want to reset only the world or whether you also want to remove player progress. A full wipe can remove bases, map progress, character data, inventories, and claims depending on the options selected in the panel.
- Open your 7 Days to Die server in the control panel.
- Click Backup Server and wait for the backup task to finish, or download the current save files if you need an offline copy.
- Stop the server before changing saved world data.
Wipe the world
- Click Wipe Server.
- Read each wipe option carefully and tick only the data you want to remove.
- Tick the confirmation box only after checking the selected options.
- Click Execute and wait for the task to finish.
- Start the server again. 7 Days to Die will recreate the missing save data when it starts.
After the wipe
Join the server and confirm it loads the expected world. If the server still loads the old save, stop it again and check that the correct world or save folder was selected for removal.
If you only want a fresh map, avoid wiping player data unless you also want character progress removed. A wipe cannot be undone without a working backup.
