The max player count for your Vintage Story server is controlled from the Startup page.
- Open your Vintage Story server in the control panel.
- Stop the server.
- Click the Startup tab.
- Find Max Clients and enter the player limit you want to use.
- Start the server again.
If you are increasing the limit heavily, keep an eye on performance once players join. More players can mean more memory, CPU, and world activity.
Before you start
Make one change at a time and keep a note of what you changed. If the server is active, warn players before restarting or applying settings that may disconnect them.
If you get stuck
Check the control-panel console or latest log output for errors. If you submit a support ticket, include the server name, the change you made, and the exact error message.
