Changing the name of your Rust server

  1. Log into your control panel and stop your server.

NOTE: Rather than the following, you can also change the name of your Rust server by creating a command line, here’s our article: https://logicservers.co.uk/client/knowledgebase/51/Creating-a-custom-command-line-for-your-Rust-server.html

  1. Go into your configuration files.

  2. Select the ‘Text Editor’ on the file Server.cfg

  3. Locate “server.hostname”, where it says “Rust Server”, change it to the name you’d like to have for your server. If you can’t find the line, add it in.

EXAMPLE: server.hostname “My Logic Server”

  1. Make sure you save your changes.

  2. Start your server, and it should now have the name you wanted.
