Your Rust server name is what players see in the Rust server browser and in their favourites list. The easiest way to change it is through the server.cfg Config Editor, then restart the server so Rust loads the new value.

  1. Open your Rust server in the control panel.
  2. Click Configuration Files.
  3. Find server.cfg, then click Config Editor.

  4. Enter the new name in Server Name.

  5. Click Save & Exit.
  6. Restart the server so the new name is used in-game.

If the old name still appears in the Rust browser, wait a few minutes and refresh the browser list. Steam server listings can take a little time to update after a restart.
