How to update your Conan Exiles server

Use Steam Update when Conan Exiles receives a game update or when players cannot join because their client is newer than the server.

1. Open your Conan Exiles server in the control panel.
2. Tell players the server will restart.
3. Stop the server.
4. Click Steam Update.
5. Run the update task and wait for it to finish. Do not start the server while SteamCMD is still updating files.
6. Start the server again.
7. Join the server to confirm the version mismatch has cleared.

Update checks

• If players still see a version mismatch, ask them to restart Steam and check their game has fully updated.
• If the server has Workshop mods, update those after the base game update and restart again.
• If the server does not start after updating, check the latest task output before changing files.

If the update task fails, run it once more before reinstalling or deleting files. If it continues to fail, submit a support ticket and include the update task output.
