How to install uMod Plugins on a Rust Server

After uMod is installed, individual Rust plugins are added from the Rust Plugins page. Older plugin pages may call these Oxide plugins, but the install flow is the same.

  1. Install uMod first: How to Install UMod on Your Rust Server.
  2. Open your Rust server in the control panel.
  3. Open Rust Plugins from the left side menu.
  4. Use the search box to find the plugin you want.
  5. Open the plugin result and click Install.
  6. Start the server once so the plugin can create its config files.
  7. Edit plugin config files from oxide/config if needed.
  8. Restart the server or reload the plugin after config changes.

Always read the plugin page. Some plugins need permissions, config edits, or extra commands after installation. For permissions, use How to grant Oxide permissions.

After making the change

Restart the server where required and test the result before making further changes. Change one thing at a time so it is clear which setting caused any new problem.

If you need help

Include the server name, the change you made, and any console or client error when opening a support ticket.
