Backing up and restoring world and player data on your ATLAS server

Create an ATLAS backup before changing maps, mods or important configuration. Restoring one rolls the server files back to that point, so later world and player progress can be overwritten.

  1. Open your ATLAS server in the control panel and stop it.
  2. Click Backup Server and wait for the task to finish.

  3. Start the server again when the backup has completed successfully.

To restore a backup, stop the server and click Restore Backup. Choose the backup by its timestamp, tick Are you sure? and click Execute.

Wait for the restore task to finish before starting the server. Join afterwards to confirm that the expected map and player data loaded. If a backup task reports an error, do not rely on that backup; try again or submit a support ticket before making the planned change.
