You can pause world simulation when no players are connected, or leave it running so time continues to pass between sessions.

  1. Stop the server and open Configuration Files.
  2. Click Text Editor beside MedievalEngineers-Dedicated.cfg.

  3. Set PauseGameWhenEmpty to true to pause an empty server, or false to keep simulation running.
  4. Click Save & Exit and start the server.
<PauseGameWhenEmpty>true</PauseGameWhenEmpty>

Pausing is useful when a small group wants the world to progress only while somebody is playing. Leave it disabled when unattended systems or the passage of time need to continue.
