How to update your Astroneer server

Run Steam Update when Astroneer receives a patch or when the game reports a client/server version mismatch.

  1. Open your Astroneer server in the control panel.
  2. Create a backup, then stop the server.
  3. Click Steam Update.

  4. Wait for the update task to finish before starting or changing the server.
  5. Start the server and reconnect with an updated Astroneer client.

If the service does not return to a running state, check Log Viewer for the first startup error before running the update again.
