Setting a password on your Return to Moria Server

A server password helps keep your Return to Moria world private. Add or change the password from the configuration editor, then restart the server so the new value is used.

Set the server password

1. Open your Return to Moria server in the control panel.
2. Click Stop and wait until the server is offline.

3. Run Backup Server if you want a restore point before changing the config.

4. Click Configuration Files.
5. Find MoriaServerConfig.ini and click Config Editor.

6. Enter the password you want players to use when joining.
7. Click Save and Exit.
8. Start the server again.

Password tips

• Use a password you can share with players without also sharing your control panel login.
• Avoid leading or trailing spaces, as these are easy to copy incorrectly.
• If players cannot join, re-open the config editor and check the saved password value.
• If the password still does not work after a restart, submit a support ticket.
