How to backup your Return to Moria Server

Return to Moria servers can have scheduled backups, but you should still run a manual backup before changing settings, updating, restoring files, or testing mods. A fresh backup gives you a safer rollback point if something goes wrong.

Create a manual backup

1. Log in to the game control panel and open your Return to Moria server.
2. Stop the server so files are not changing during the backup.

3. Click Backup Server from the left menu.
4. Confirm the backup task.
5. Wait for the task to finish before starting the server again.

When to back up manually

• Before changing server settings.
• Before updating the server.
• Before installing, removing, or testing mods.
• Before restoring files from an older backup.

Troubleshooting

• If the backup button is missing, check that you are viewing the correct service in the control panel.
• If a backup fails, keep the server stopped and submit a support ticket with the backup task output.
