How to add a server icon to your Minecraft server

This is our old guide about server icons, it still works, but we have an updated 2024 version of this guide available - How to change your Minecraft Servers Icon

NOTE: Your icon must be 64x64 pixels and named/saved under ‘server-icon.png’

  1. Log into your control panel.
  2. Enter your FTP File Access, access the Working Directory by using the handy link displayed to you.
  3. Upload your server-icon.png to the same location that you see the ‘server.properties’ file.
  4. Restart your server - remember you may have to also restart your Minecraft client to see the new icon.
