Run Steam Update when Palworld releases a server update or when players cannot join because their game version is newer than the server. Take a backup first so you can roll back if an update or mod change causes problems.

  1. Take a backup first: How to Backup your Palworld Server.
  2. Open your Palworld server in the control panel.
  3. Click Steam Update.

  4. Wait for the Steam update task to finish.
  5. Start or restart the server.
  6. Check Web Console or Log Viewer for startup errors.

If you use mods, check whether the mod author has released an update for the new Palworld version. UE4SS or manual mods may need reinstalling or updating after a game update. If players still cannot join after updating, confirm the server is running and that the game client has updated to the same Palworld branch.
