Add a server password when you want your Palworld server to be private or limited to invited players. The password is set in PalWorldSettings.ini and applies after a restart. This is separate from the admin password, which is only used for admin commands.

  1. Open your Palworld server in the control panel.
  2. Click Configuration Files.
  3. Find PalWorldSettings.ini, then click Config Editor.

  4. Enter the password in Server Password.

  5. Click Save & Exit.
  6. Restart the server.

Share the password only with players you want to join. If players still see the old password requirement, wait a few minutes for the server browser to refresh and then try again. To remove the password later, clear the Server Password field, save, and restart.
