How to Adjust Breeding, Maturation, and Hatching Settings in PixARK

Customizing the breeding, maturation, and hatching rates in your PixARK game server can significantly enhance your gameplay experience. Whether you're looking to speed up these processes or seeking a more challenging experience, adjusting these settings is straightforward. This guide will walk you through modifying key multipliers in the Game.ini file to tailor the breeding and hatching rates to your preference.

  1. Accessing the Game.ini File: Before you begin, ensure you have access to the Game.ini file, which is where you will make the changes. This file is typically located in the server's configuration directory.

  2. Understanding the Multipliers: The following settings within the [/Script/ShooterGame.ShooterGameMode] section of the Game.ini file control various aspects of breeding and hatching:

    • MatingIntervalMultiplier=0.1: This setting controls the time between mating. Lower values speed up mating frequency.
    • EggHatchSpeedMultiplier=32.0: This affects how quickly eggs hatch. Higher values lead to faster hatching.
    • BabyMatureSpeedMultiplier=32.0: Determines the speed at which babies mature. Increase this value for faster maturation.
    • LayEggIntervalMultiplier=0.3: Adjusts the interval at which creatures lay eggs.
    • BabyCuddleIntervalMultiplier=0.1: Influences how often babies need to be cuddled for imprinting.
  3. Adding the Settings: If the line [/Script/ShooterGame.ShooterGameMode] already exists in your Game.ini file, you do not need to add it again. Simply add or modify the above multipliers under this section. If this line is not present, include it at the top of your new settings.

  4. Using Custom Command Lines for Advanced Settings: Beyond the Game.ini file, certain breeding settings can be adjusted through custom command lines for more refined control.

Adjusting these multipliers allows you to customize the breeding, hatching, and maturation processes in PixARK to fit your server's gameplay style. Remember to save the Game.ini file after making changes and restart your server for the changes to take effect.
