Back up your Palworld server before updates, mod installs, configuration changes, wipes, or large world changes. Backups give you a restore point if the server fails to start or the world needs to be rolled back.

  1. Open your Palworld server in the control panel.
  2. Click Backup Server.

  3. Wait for the backup task to complete. The output lists the files being compressed and uploaded.

You can usually back up while the server is running, but stopping it first gives the cleanest file state before major changes. For mod installs, save uploads, or major config edits, take the backup immediately before you make the change so the restore point is easy to identify.
