Changing the server's admin password on your PixARK server

The PixARK admin password is the password used for in-game admin access. Change it in the server configuration, then restart the server so PixARK loads the new value.

Change the admin password

1. Log in to your game control panel and open the PixARK server.
2. Stop the server.
3. Open Configuration Files.
4. Open the configuration editor for GameUserSettings.ini.
5. Find the admin password field.
6. Enter the new admin password.
7. Save the file.
8. Start the server again.

Use the new password

Join the server and use the PixARK admin access flow with the password you saved. Passwords are case-sensitive, so copy the value carefully if you are testing it for the first time.

Troubleshooting

• If the old password still works, restart the server again and confirm the configuration saved.
• If the new password is rejected, check for leading or trailing spaces in the password field.
• If you no longer want a shared admin password, change it and only give the new value to trusted admins.

Password tips

Use a password you can safely share with your players and avoid reusing account passwords. After saving the change, restart the server and test joining before sending the new password out.

If the password does not apply

Check that the value saved correctly in the configuration editor, then restart the server again. If players can still join without a password, submit a support ticket with the server name and the setting you changed.
