Changing the password you use to join your PixARK server

The PixARK server password is the password players enter when joining a password-protected server. This is separate from the admin password.

Change the join password

1. Log in to your game control panel and open the PixARK server.
2. Stop the server.
3. Open Configuration Files.
4. Open the configuration editor for GameUserSettings.ini.
5. Find the server password or join password field.
6. Enter the new password players should use.
7. Save the file.
8. Start the server again.

After changing it

Give the new password only to players who should be able to join. Players already connected may not need the new password until they reconnect.

Troubleshooting

• If players can still join without a password, confirm the password field is not blank and restart the server.
• If players cannot join, check the password spelling and capitalisation.
• If you meant to change admin access, update the admin password instead of the join password.

If the server does not appear

Confirm the server is online in the control panel, then refresh the in-game browser. Server lists can take a few minutes to update after a restart. If direct connect is available, use the server IP and port from the control panel.

Connection checks

Make sure your game client is on the same branch or version as the server. Mods, passwords, and whitelist settings can also prevent a successful connection.
