Our platform automatically performs a scheduled task to backup your Enshrouded server once every day. This feature is designed to protect your realm, characters, and creations without requiring daily manual intervention, allowing you to focus on what truly matters—your adventure.
It is possible to change how frequently our system runs this backup by adjusting the scheduled task, however it's important to note that your Enshrouded server hosting account is equipped to store a maximum of 10 backups at any given time. This ensures efficient storage management and prioritizes the preservation of your most recent game states.
Manually creating a backup of your server

Log into Your Control Panel

Access your control panel and click on the Enshrouded server you want to backup.

Prepare for Backup

Though not mandatory, we recommend stopping your server before initiating the backup process to ensure data consistency. This precaution minimizes the risk of corrupting files during the backup process.

Backup your Enshrouded server
- Find the Backup Server, which is a large icon on your control panel. Note, on our new control panel, this button is on the sidebar of your service view.

That's it! Your server is now backed up.
- Our system will create an archive of all the save files from your server, this will then be uploaded to our local backup node for the datacenter you're located in.
- If you have purchased the remote backup option, this will upload the backup to the local and remote backup servers.
- Once the process completes, if you stopped your server, ensure you click the start button so players can join back into your Enshrouded server.
