A backup gives you a restore point before changing mods, updating versions, or making larger world changes.
- Open your Vintage Story server in the control panel.
- Stop the server before creating the backup. This helps avoid saving files while they are still being written.
- Click the Backups tab.
- Click Create Backup and wait for the backup to finish.
Once the backup shows as created, you can start the server again or continue with the change you were making.
