ARK Survival Ascended admin access is controlled by the admin password you set in the server start batch file.
After joining the server, you use that password in the in-game console so the server accepts admin commands from your player.
Keep the admin password private. Anyone with the password can run powerful commands on the server.
- Stop the ARK Survival Ascended server.
- Right-click your
start-asa.batfile, then click Edit. - Find the
?ServerAdminPassword=option. - Set a strong admin password, for example:
?ServerAdminPassword=ChangeThisAdminPassword
- Save the batch file.
- Start the server again.
- Join the server in-game.
- Open the in-game console.
- Run
enablecheatsfollowed by your admin password:enablecheats ChangeThisAdminPassword
- Test admin access with a safe command, such as:
cheat saveworld
If the command is ignored, confirm you joined the correct server, typed the exact admin password, and fully restarted the server after editing the batch file.
