In this guide, we will teach you what the Grindstone in Minecraft does, and how to use it effectively.
What is a Grindstone?
The Grindstone is a block that is able to be utilized for removing unwanted enchantments or repairing items while getting some experience back from it. While repairing items with a Grindstone gives back the same durability bonus as doing it in a Crafting Table, it will also give experience for the enchantments of the merged items.
How do I obtain a Grindstone?
To obtain a Grindstone, you can craft it with 2 planks (any wood type), 2 sticks, and 1 stone slab.
Additionally, you can find them in Villages, located outside of Weaponsmith houses.
How do I disenchant with a Grindstone?
Take the enchanted item you wish to remove the enchantments from, and place it into either slot of the Grindstone. You can then take the unenchanted version of the item out of the rightmost slot, which will remove the item’s enchantments, but give experience based on the enchantments in return.
How do I repair using a Grindstone?
Place the two identical tools in the two slots on the left of the Grindstone, then click the slot of the repaired tool on the rightmost slot of the Grindstone. This will use both of the tools on the left, but give a repaired version of it with an extra bonus!
Now, you should be a master at using a Grindstone from Minecraft!
