Create a backup before changing scenarios, editing server_config.json, adding mods, changing RCON settings, or running a Steam update. A backup gives you a restore point if a JSON edit or update stops the server from starting.
- Open your Arma Reforger server in the control panel.
- Click Backup Server from the left side menu.
- Wait for the backup task to finish before making changes.
For the cleanest backup before major changes, stop the server first so save files are not being written while the backup runs.
