The VPS control panel includes power controls for stopping, restarting, and starting your VPS without needing to log in to the operating system.
Use these controls when you need to recover a stuck server, apply an operating system restart, or power the VPS back on after it has been shut down.
Open the VPS controls
- Open your VPS service from the client area.
- Open the VPS control panel.
- Click the arrow next to the VPS you want to manage.
- Use the action buttons in the top-right of the VPS overview page.

What each action is for
| Action | When to use it |
|---|---|
| Stop | Turns the VPS off. Use this before destructive work or when you want the VPS fully powered down. |
| Restart | Reboots the VPS. Use this after updates or if the operating system is responding slowly. |
| Start | Powers the VPS back on after it has been stopped. |
| Console | Opens VNC console access if SSH or Remote Desktop is not working. |
A normal restart is usually safer than forcing the VPS off. If the VPS is completely frozen, use the stop/power option, wait a short moment, then start it again.
If the VPS repeatedly fails to boot, open the console and check the screen for disk, boot, or operating system errors.
